2011 is the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War and many events are being planned to commemorate this anniversary. The only museum dedicated solely to the story of Jews in America since their arrival in 1654. The 25,000 square foot core exhibit with over 1,000 artifacts examines the reasons for the Jewish immigration, the unique challenges that they faced and their contributions to America.
